Camp Kit List 2012

Here's the camp kit list for GG 3D2N camp from 22 March - 24 March:
  1. Sleeping bag (compulsory)
  2. GG full uniform (*hat, gloves, scarf, trefoil, world badge) - do not need boots
  3. 2 navy blue / black shorts (strictly no FBTs allowed)
  4. 3 school related T-shirts
  5. Undergarments (sufficient for 3 days)
  6. 2 pairs of socks (1 pair should be 4cm high for full uniform)
  7. Meal bag (1 plate, 1 spoon, 1 fork, a cup) - no disposable materials
  8. Towels (for bathing on 2 nights)
  9. Toiletries (shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste)
  10. A pair of sandals (only to be worn for bath)
  11. Insect repellent
  12. Torch light with batteries
  13. GG handbook
  14. Stationary
  15. Books for lesson on Friday
  16. Citrus fruits (pineapple, orange, lime) and jam jars (for initiative)
  17. 3 sets of newspaper
  18. Rags and cleaning powder
  19. 2 NTUC bag of dry leaves and twigs (1 bag filled with dry leaves and the other filled with dry twigs)
  20. Small bag for daily use
  21. Personal medications
  22. Camera (sec2s)
  23. Ez-link card (with minimum $5)
  24. Money (not more than $10 for lunch at school)
  25. Colourful (used) magazine paper, glue, scissors, thread, marker pens
  26. Poncho / umbrella
Note: Please do not bring a luggage bag.

What does HSS Girl Guides do?

The Girl Guides Singapore's mission is to eanble girls and young women to develop their fullest potential as responsible citizens of the world. In Henderson Secondary School, we work very closely with this mission. Being a Guide you can learn new skills, make your own decisions and not forgetting, have fun. Guiding in HSS provides a safe platform and environment to explore new possibilities and achieve personal goals while making friends and having adventures.

Girl Guides work together in Patrols. We elect our own Patrol Leaders and plan our own activities to eusure the total development of our girls.

The Guide Promise to us is very crucial and it is the pivot behind Girl Guiding:
